The Southwest District Athletic Board held the girls basketball sectional tournament pairings Sunday.
DIVISION I
Troy will compete in the Butler D-I sectional, while Piqua will play in the Troy D-I sectional.
Troy, 6-14 and the 13 seed, will play 12 seed Xenia (9-11) at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Vandalia-Butler Student Activity Center.
The winner will advance to play fourth seed Sidney (16-4) at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 13.
Piqua, 2-16 and the 18 seed will play the winner of 16 seed Stebbins (7-12) and two seed Springboro (13-7) at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 13 at the Trojan Activity Center.
The winner will advance to the district semifinal at noon Feb. 18.
DIVISION II
Tippecanoe (14-6) received the sixth seed in the D-II SuperSectional.
The Red Devils will open play at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 9 against 13 seed Bellefontaine (11-9) at Tecumseh High School.
The winner will advance to play 16 seed Northridge (10-10) at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 14.
DIVISION III
Bethel and Miami East received the top two seeds in the D-III SuperSectional, while Milton-Union is seeded fourth
In the Northridge sectional, Bethel (15-4) will open play against 19th seed Dunbar (0-18) at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 10.
The winner will advance to play 17 seed Dayton Christian (4-12) at 6 p.m. Feb. 14.
In the same sectional, Milton-Union (15-5) will open play against 12th seed Arcanum (7-12) at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 9.
The winner will advance to play the winner of fifth seed Anna (11-8) and 10th seed Brookville (7-13) at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14.
The district semifinal is set for 7:30 p.m. Feb. 18.
Miami East (16-5) will play in the Covington sectional.
The Vikings will open play against 18 seed Northeastern (1-19) at 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 11.
The winner will advance to play 15 seed Carlisle (4-17) at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 16.
DIVISION IV
Covington received the third seed in the Versailles D-IV sectional, while Newton received the eight seed.
Newton (8-12) will open play at 8 p.m. on Feb. 15 against second seed Southeastern (13-7).
The winner will play five seed Cedarville (10-10) at 2 p.m. on Feb. 18.
Covington (12-8) will play ninth seed Miami Valley (5-7) at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 18.
The district semifinal is set for 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 22.
Troy Christian is the seven seed in the Sidney D-IV sectional, Lehman Catholic is the nine seed and Bradford is the 14 seed.
Troy Christian (6-14) will open tournament play at 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 11 against sixth seed Ansonia (6-12).
The winner will play the winner of top seed Fort Loramie (18-1) and 12 seed Fairlawn (1-18) at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 15.
Lehman (4-16) will open play against five seed Jackson Center (9-11) at 11 a.m. Feb. 11.
The winner will play 11 seed Calvary Christian (8-2) at 6 p.m. Feb. 15.
Bradford (0-18) received a bye.
The Railroaders will play the winner of two seed Russia (17-4) and 13 seed Triad (3-16) at 6 p.m. on Feb. 16.
The district semifinal will be at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 20.
