Hobart Institute of Welding Technology hires Compliance & Student Services Manager

TROY — Hobart Institute of Welding Technology welcomes Greg Shields to the team as the Compliance and Student Services Manager.

Shields comes to the school with over 16 years in higher education serving as campus director, campus president, and regional director of operations of various institutions. Shields is well versed in compliance and campus operations, which will make him quickly impactful in his position.

“I am excited to join the talented team here at Hobart Institute of Welding Technology and helping to fulfill our mission of welding training and education excellence,” Shields said. “It is an honor to be part of an institution that has dedicated itself to developing the next generation of welding professions in a wide variety of skills and applications to meet the needs of industry.”

Shields holds a BS Degree from Central Michigan University and an MBA from the University of Kentucky. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, reading, outdoor activities and travelling. He resides in Springboro with his wife and dog Bo.
