Izzy Crow earns All-American honors at Clarkson University

CLARKSON — Former Tippecanoe volleyball standout Izzy Crow recently received All-American honors for her junior season as setter with the Clarkson University volleyball team.

Crow was named and AVCA D-III All-American honorable mention and was named to the All-Region first team, as well as the to the Liberty League first team.

“To me Izzy’s recognition is not only the result of her hard work into the sport, but also her dedication in being a better person and a better teammate,” Crow’s high school coach Howard Garcia said.

She was one of three players to play in all 30 matches and all 108 sets for the Knights.

After missing her sophomore season due to Covid, Crow helped her team return to NCAA Tournament with an eighth conference title in last nine campaigns.

She was ranked in top 25 nationally in digs per set (9.94) and also ranked among team leaders in digs per set (2.72), blocks per set (0.23), and aces per set (0.31).

Crow moved into sixth all-time in program history for total assists (2,084) in just two seasons at Clarkson and is second all-time for the team in assists per set (9.33).

She had 51 assists and 17 digs in four-set match against Middlebury College, recorded 49 assists and 11 digs in win over Illinois Wesleyan, picked up 48 assists and 11 digs in five-set match against Cortland State, recorded 48 assists, 11 digs, and three aces in NCAA Tournament first round win over Stevenson, picked up 43 assists, 12 digs, and seven kills in win over Ithaca College in Liberty League Semifinals en route to Liberty League Tournament Most Outstanding Player honors.

Crow Surpassed 40 assists on 11 occasions and reached double figures in digs per set on 18 occasions.

She had season-high six service aces in sweep of Oswego State and was chosen Liberty League Performer of the Week twice and named to the Liberty League Honor Roll twice and was Liberty League All-Academic.
