TROY — The Easter egg hunt has been a long-standing tradition of the Lincoln Community Center (LCC) for more than 80 years. After the past two years, the LCC is excited to be able to offer this event back in person and see the kids excited again. This event is always a great opportunity for community outreach and opens the door of opportunity to introduce families to the services we offer at LCC.

Bring your own bucket or bag and join the LCC this Saturday, April 16, at 11 a.m. at the McKaig and Race Park, located at 822 McKaig Ave. in Troy. The hunt is free and open to all youth ages 0-10 years old. The hunt starts promptly at 11 a.m., and the eggs and candy are always scooped up in minutes. The Easter bunny will also be present and available for photos with the kids.

There will be street parking only at the McKaig and Race Park, but LCC has secured additional parking from generous neighbors at Richard’s Chapel, Zion Baptist Church, and Hobart on Ridge. The LCC parking lots will also be available and open in both the front and rear of the building.

“LCC is grateful for the many donors, volunteers, and organizations who have made this day possible” said Executive Director Shane Carter. In the event of rain, the hunt will be postponed to Saturday, April 23.
