Lockington FD offering tenderloin dinner

PIQUA — The members of the Lockington Volunteer Fire Department will be holding a tenderloin dinner on Feb. 26 beginning at 5 p.m. The department is located at 10363 Museum Trail, Piqua. Dinners will include: breaded tenderloin sandwich, fries, applesauce and a drink for $10. You may dine in or drive thru. Proceeds from this event will be used to share the cost of dress uniforms for its members. Meals will also be available on March 26. The Lockington Volunteer Fire Department thanks you for your support.

Spring returns to Ohio

TIPP CITY — The Tipp City Garden Club meets the first Tuesday morning of each month. The club was formed in 1932 and currently has 28 members.

The first meeting of 2022 will take place on March 1 at 10:30 a.m. at the Tipp City Public Library’s Meeting Room. The guest speaker will be Tom Hissong, retired Education Manager and Naturalist at the Aullwood Audubon Center and Farm. Hissong’s presentation entitled “Spring Returns to Ohio” is a preview of new life, spring wildflowers, blooming trees, and colorful migratory birds as they head north.

Attendees are asked to wear their masks. A business meeting will follow the presentation.

Anyone interested in furthering their knowledge of plants, flowers, trees, and birds should join them for a meeting and consider becoming a member.
