Strengthen your core with Pilates

TIPP CITY — TMCS is offering a six-week Pilates class beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 26 from 9-10 a.m. Andrew Wingert, a certified BASI Pilates instructor, will teach the classes at the TMCS building located at 3 E. Main Street, Tipp City. Visit tmcomservices.org for more information and to register. The cost per session is $60 for Tipp City residents, and $62 for non-residents. According to Wingert, “The class will review the 10 basic Pilates exercises and participants will learn to modify them to fit their bodies’ limitations. Props will be used to accommodate those changes.”

Functional Pilates will help you gain strength, flexibility and elevate your mind, body, and spirit. This is a full body experience, and exercises are designed to support activities of daily living.

Dining with Diabetes set

MIAMI COUNTY — The Ohio State University Extension office is holding Dining with Diabetes on Feb. 4, 11, 18, and 25 from noon to 1 p.m. each week.

Dining with Diabetes is a cooking school and nutrition education program designed for people with prediabetes, diabetes, their family members or caregivers, or anyone else looking to make a change in their diet. Classes are held virtually with Zoom.

The series of four classes will help you learn healthy techniques to manage diabetes and tipps to use in your own kitchen. The program includes a kit with ingrediants and recipes to make diabetes-friendly recipes at home.

Learn how to understand legal documents

TIPP CITY — Are you prepared for the unexpected? Find out what legal documents you need to create ahead of time to protect you and your loved ones. Sign up for a free class being offered by Tipp Monroe Community Services and learn more about what documents you need to have.

The class will take place at the Tipp City Public Library on Feb. 15 from 5-6 p.m. The provider is Kathryn Huffman, an attorney from Dysinger & Patry, LLC. There is no charge for this class, but registration is required. Visit tmcomservices.org to register.
