Mami County Foundation’s spring grant and local scholarship applications open

PIQUA – The board of directors and staff of Miami County Foundation are thrilled to announce the opening of the 2022 spring grant cycle and its scholarship application season.

Miami County Foundation has awarded more than $9 million in funding since its inception to benefit local non-profit organizations, schools, classrooms, and area communities through its grant funding, and it has supported hundreds of local students’ post-secondary paths through its endowed scholarships.

Miami County non-profit organization leaders and volunteers, teachers, school counselors or administrators, and city or township administrators should refer to miamicountyfoundation.org/grants for grant application guidelines and a streamlined fillable PDF grant application. Grant request packets are due (postmarked by) Monday, Feb. 28, 2022 at 4 p.m. via the United States Postal System to Miami County Foundation, P.O. Box 1526, Piqua, Ohio 45356 or in-person delivery at the office drop box, 317 N. Wayne St., Piqua, Ohio.

Local students received nearly $108,000 in 2021 with a dozen scholarship awards supporting more than 40 students. Several unique opportunities for qualified graduating high school seniors are available. For instance, there are awards for those studying in the fields of art/art studies/art history (Troy Christian, Troy High School, Troy homeschool), agriculture, public service, engineering, nursing/medicine, Newton students and Newton students pursuing careers or training within trade industries, members of Troy High School Band (or guard), or St. Patrick Catholic School graduates attending Lehman High School. Opportunities are also available for those residing in Miami or Darke Counties, and several awards are possible for current post-secondary education students.

The Thelma Ross Dalton Memorial Scholarship is awarded to several students with a deadline to apply of March 20, 2022. All other Miami County Foundation scholarship applications are due March 31, 2022.
