Feb. 13

LOST: Deputy dispatched to a lost or stolen license plate at 11:18 a.m. on the 8500 block of Mill Road in Elizabeth Township. The plate was entered as stolen.

TRAFFIC: Deputy stopped a vehicle for expired registration at 1:25 p.m. in the area of East Staunton Road and Michigan Avenue in Troy. The driver was found to be driving under suspension and was cited accordingly. The vehicle was towed from the roadway.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Deputy responded to the 100 block of South Church Street in Pleasant Hill on a criminal damaging complaint at 2 p.m. The reporting party advised an unknown subject was breaking bottles on their driveway and in the alley behind there residence. She stated nothing was damaged, this was not the first occurrence, and she would like the incident documented. There are no leads or suspects at this time.

ACCIDENT: Deputies were dispatched to the area of Swailes Road and Merrimont Drive for an accident with unknown injuries at 9:30 p.m. Upon further investigation, Eric L. Iddings, 29, of Troy, was cited for operating a vehicle while intoxicated in connection with this incident.

ASSAULT: Deputy responded to the Miami County Incarceration Facility in reference to an inmate who had assaulted another inmate at 10:20 p.m. After investigation, one male was charged with assault.

Feb. 14

ACCIDENT: Deputy was dispatched to an accident with no injuries at 1:43 a.m. on the 2300 block of U.S. Route 40 in Bethel Township. Upon further investigation, the driver, Eric D. Anderson, 33, of Tipp City, was charged with OVI.

CHILD ABUSE: Deputy responded to a child abuse complaint on State Route 571 in Monroe Township at 9:18 a.m. After investigation, no charges will be filed at this time and Miami County Children Services will be notified to begin their own investigation.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: There was a report of a damaged vehicle on the 9600 block of North Hetzler Road in Springcreek Township at 10:50 a.m. Photos were taken. No suspects.

ACCIDENT: An accident with no injuries was reported at 2:28 p.m. in the area of Experiment Farm Road and Eldean Road.

HIT SKIP: A hit skip accident was reported on Third Street in Concord Township at 5:13 p.m.

THEFT: A theft complaint was made on the 7900 block of Palmer Road in Bethel Township at 8:32 p.m. Upon further investigation, a license plate was stolen from a vehicle. The theft happened at an unknown location; however, it was likely not stolen in Miami County. When the suspect stole the license plate from this vehicle, they replaced it with a stolen license plate from another vehicle. The newly stolen license plate has been entered as stolen. This case is pending further investigation.

Feb. 15

ACCIDENT: An accident with no injuries was reported at 5:31 a.m. on the 7900 block of State Route 712 in Newberry Township.

CANINE DETAIL: A canine unit was requested to conduct a school sniff at Miami East High School at 3:28 p.m. While a deputy walked K9 Vello around the school, he showed a positive alert in two areas. Nothing illegal was located in either area.

AGENGY ASSIST: A deputy transported a male subject from UVMC to the Miami County Jail at 4 p.m.

TRAFFIC: Deputy conducted a traffic stop at 6 p.m. in the area of Wildcat Road and Lisa Drive in Bethel Township. Upon further investigation, the driver was suspended and had a warrant out of Huber Heights. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were also located in the center console of the vehicle. The driver was cited for driving under suspension and given a warning for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Huber Heights came to the scene of the traffic stop and took the driver into custody for their warrant.

SUSPICIOUS: Deputy was dispatched to a suspicious call at 6:41 p.m. on the 1200 block of Pine Street in Concord Township. A vehicle that was partially in the roadway was towed.

ACCIDENT: An accident with no injuries was reported at 6:52 p.m. on the 1800 block of East Peterson Road in Staunton Township.

TRAFFIC: Deputy was dispatched to the 100 block of South Main Street in Piqua for a canine detail at 9:55 p.m. Upon arrival, a Piqua officer asked to walk K9 Vello around the vehicle. While walking K9 Vello around the vehicle, he alerted to the odor of illegal narcotics at the front passenger door. Upon searching the vehicle, nothing illegal was located. The driver admitted that the passenger he just dropped off likely had illegal narcotics inside the vehicle.
