PIQUA — Miriam I. Robinson, 81, of Piqua, passed away at 1:15 p.m. at Troy Rehabilitation and Healthcare. She was born December 5, 1939 in Piqua to the late Waldo F. and Irene F. (Hauschild) Shellenberg. She married Gerald S. Robinson September 7, 1957 in Piqua; he preceded her in death July 31, 2000.

Survivors include one brother, Frederick W. (Wanda) Shellenberg of Piqua; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, David Shellenberg; and one sister, Kay Keller.

Mrs. Robinson was a graduate of Piqua Central High School. She was an active member of Greene Street United Methodist Church for many years. She worked as a folder for Medalist Allen-A, then as a machinist for Copeland in Sidney; from which she retired. She was a dual member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Piqua and Covington; and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary with both the American Legion and the V.F.W. She loved her dogs and enjoyed attending races, especially her trips to the time trials at the Indianapolis 500.

A graveside service to honor her life will begin at 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2021 at Forest Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being provided to the family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
