BELLEFONTAINE — The Piqua girls basketball team dropped to 1-12 on the season with a 51-16 loss to Ben Logan Monday night.

Piqua will play at Sidney Wednesday.

Piqua trailed 12-7, 30-9 and 37-12 at the quarter breaks.

Bethel 49,

Carlisle 43

BRANDT — The Bethel girls basketball team improved to 12-1 Monday night and will play at Covington Thursday in TRC action.

Bethel led 16-6, 34-16 and 41-37 at the quarter breaks.

Kerigan Calhoun had 24 points and nine rebounds and Karley Moore had 19, seven rebounds, six steals and two blocked shots.

Maddie Montgomery had seven rebounds, four assists and five steals.

Miami East 57,

Riverside 17

DEGRAFF — In a game that was postponed from earlier this season, the Miami East girls basketball team improved to 10-4 overall and 7-1 in the TRC.

Miami East plays Lehman Catholic Thursday.

East led 21-2, 44-9 and 49-13 at the quarter breaks.

Abigial Kadel scored 11 points and Maryn Gross had 10 points and five steals.

Logan Phillips scored nine points and McKayah Musselman had eight points and seven rebounds.

Mara Posey had four assists and Paxton Hunley, Kennedee Elifritz and Kayly Fetters all had three steals.

Newton 63,

FM 26

PITSBURG — The Newton girls basketball team improved to 5-9 overall and 2-5 in the WOAC with a road win.

Newton plays Tri-County North Thursday.

Newton led 14-11, 28-15 and 53-23 at the quarter breaks.

Camryn Gleason set a school record with six 3-pointers and scored 28 points and pulled down five rebounds.

Mercedes Craig scored 11 points and haad five rebounds and Reese Hess added 10 points, five rebounds and three steals.

Emma Szakal had five assists and five steals and Layla VanCulin pulled down seven rebounds.
