Piqua city offices closed due to weather

PIQUA — The city of Piqua offices will be closed today, Feb. 3, due to inclement weather. While a difficult decision, the safety of the staff and public is paramount, city officials stated in a press release.

Throughout last evening, Public Works has salted every main and secondary streets. Seven trucks are currently on the streets beginning to plow the main streets and two are under repair. The remainder of today, the city will be maintaining the mains for emergency services. After the snow stops and the mains are cleaned and salted, the city will begin working on secondary streets.

Trash Collection

The Environmental and Recreation Department will be collecting trash today. The city appreciates the community’s patience, as collection will be slower than usual.

When paying online, forms of accepted payments include: Mastercard, Visa, Discover, Checking Account, or Savings Account. All automated payment processing takes a minimum of two business days.

Customers can also drop their payment in the city’s convenient payment box located on the west side of the building between the utility billing office and the fire department.

Payments may be made over the city’s automated phone line at 937-778-2000.

This is available 24 hours a day. Choose Option 2 to make a payment then Option 1 if you are a returning customer or Option 3 if it is your first time using our automated system. Please have your full account number available to make a payment. Forms of accepted payments: Mastercard, Visa, Discover, Checking Account, or Savings Account. Credit Card payments are limited to $500.00 per transaction. All automated payment processing takes a minimum of two business days.
