PIQUA — All information is provided by the Piqua Police Department.

ACCIDENT: There was a report of a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at 3:40 p.m. on Feb. 19 in the area of Covington and McKinley avenues.

A hit skip accident was reported at 6 p.m. on Feb. 19 on the 600 block of West Greene Street.

There was a traffic accident with no injuries reported at approximately 7:15 p.m. on Feb. 19 in the area of South Sunset Drive and Covington Avenue. Both drivers declined a traffic investigation. A traffic crash waiver was completed.

A traffic accident with injuries was reported at 1 a.m. on Feb. 20 on the 1600 block of South Main Street.

An accident with no injuries was reported at approximately 4:40 p.m. on Feb. 20 in the area of North State Route 66 and North Hardin Road.

A traffic accident with no injuries was reported at 7:40 p.m. on Feb. 20 on the 1700 block of West High Street.

DRUG OVERDOSE: A drug overdose was reported at 3:50 p.m. on Feb. 19 on the 1200 block of Lenox Street. Drugs were found at scene, and a female subject charged with possession of drugs. Alisha N. Nichols, 31, of Piqua, was charged with fifth-degree felony possession of drugs and first-degree misdemeanor possession of drugs in connection with this incident.

SUSPICIOUS: An officer observed one vehicle following another vehicle and subjects yelling from the vehicles at 8:20 p.m. on Feb. 19 on Linden Avenue. Officer followed the vehicles, and the driver of one vehicle stopped and alleged the driver of the other vehicle was using drugs in his neighborhood and he was trying to run him off. The driver was advised of the proper way to handle a drug abuse complaint.

THEFT: Subject reported a known subject stole her dog when he left their apartment following an eviction at approximately noon on Feb. 20 on West North Street. Ownership was confirmed via the animal shelter, and the suspect was advised to turn the dog over to the caller.

Kroger reported an unknown subject took items from the business at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 20.

CHILD ENDANGERING: There was a report of child abuse made at 1:40 p.m. on Feb. 20. The report will be forwarded to Miami County Children’s Services.

ASSIST SQUAD: Squad was dispatched to a male who had fallen on the sidewalk and was not responsive at approximately 3 p.m. on Feb. 20 on the 600 block of Second Street. The subject later woke up and was located just down the street and appeared to have taken drugs. The male was transported for a medical check.

PHYSICAL CONTROL: An officer responded to a call in reference to a subject inside a vehicle nodding off at 7 p.m. on Feb. 20 on the 100 block of North Main Street. The subject was found to be intoxicated sitting in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle. He was arrested for physical control. Donald A. Thurber, Jr., 30, of Greenville, was charged with physical control of a vehicle in connection with this incident.
