TROY — Police in Troy are looking for answers in a double-shooting that took place on Saturday evening.

Miami County 911 dispatchers were alerted at 10:42 p.m. Saturday that two subjects suffering from apparent gunshot wounds were at a local hospital.

“Both victims were later transferred to Kettering Hospital. One victim was treated and released while the other victim remains hospitalized,” said Troy Police Detective Captain Jeff Kunkleman.

The two, said to be from out-of-town, claimed they did not know where the alleged shooting took place.

The investigation led police to search the area of Stonyridge Drive and Imperial Court. Police radio reports showed officers may have recovered evidence possibly related to the shootings.

Kunkleman said detectives have determined the incident occurred in the 400 block of Stonyridge Avenue and was an apparent drug trafficking robbery.

Troy Police continue to investigate the incident.
