Piqua American Legion Post 184 recognized area high school students with Americanism Awards during ceremonies at the Post on Monday. Award recipients included, from Piqua High School: Richard Price, Catherine Copsey, Matthew Weiser, Kirsten Shaneyfelt, Kai Drees, Grace Pleasant, and Hannah Pleasant. From Upper Valley Career Center: Broderick Nishwitz (Houston), Shelby Oakes (Wapakoneta)Zachery Osborne (Sidney), and Amanda Goodwin (Troy). Buckeye Boys State participants were also announced. They include Zachary Henne, PHS; Hayden Sever, LHS; Collin Snyder, UVCC, and Joey Reed UVCC, (alternate)
