TROY — The Troy boys basketball team cruised to a 56-35 win over Greenville Tuesday night in MVL action.

Troy, 6-5 overall and 6-3 in the MVL, travels to West Carrollton Friday night.

Troy led 13-5, 33-20 and 46-26 at the quarter breaks.

Nick Prince led Troy with 18 points.

Charlie Walker scored nine points and Isaac Phillips added eight points.

Konyae Foster and Evan Kaiser both scored six points.

Piqua 48,

Butler 47

VANDALIA — The Piqua boys basketball team improved 6-3 overall and 5-1 in the MVL with a road win.

The Indians will play at Sidney Friday night.

Piqua trailed 13-9 after one quarter, but led 24-19 at halftime and 37-29 after three quarters.

Dre’Sean Roberts led Piqua with 22 points.

Troy Christian 74,

Bethel 58

The Troy Christian boys basketball team improved to 10-1 overall and 7-0 in the TRC with a win at the Eagles Nest Friday night.

Bethel dropped to 5-8 overall and 4-3 in the TRC.

Troy Christian hosts Covington Friday night, while Bethel will entertain Riverside.

Bethel led 20-18 after one quarter, but Troy Christian went in front 37-33 at halftime and led 64-39 after three quarters.

Parker Penrod had 25 points, six rebounds, six assists and five steals for the Eagles.

Chase Dohme scored seven points, Noah King had six points and nine rebounds and Alex Free had six points, five assists and five steals.

Ben Major pulled down six rebounds.

Will Reittinger had 14 points for Bethel and Braylon Schroeder scored 13 points.

Nico Golden had eight points, Casey Keesee had seven points and five rebounds and Jace Houck scored seven points.

Mike Halleg pulled down five rebounds.

Miami East 61,

Covington 28

CASSTOWN — The Miami East basketball team improved to 6-4 overall and 3-3 in the TRC with the win.

The Vikings will host Northridge Friday night.

Covington, 2-10 overall and 1-6 in the TRC, travels to Troy Christian Friday night.

East led 24-8, 32-15 and 48-21 at the quarter breaks.

Wes Enis had 20 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four steals for East.

Connor Apple scored 14 points and Jacob Roeth had six points, five steals and three blocked shots.

Mitchel Kemp had six points and six rebounds and Camren Monnin scored six points.

Matthew VanPelt pulled down five rebounds.

Owen Boehringer and Mic Barhosts scored six points each for Covington.

Tyler Alexander pulled down five rebounds.

Milton-Union 72,

Riverside 57

DEGRAFF — The Milton-Union boys basketball team improved to 9-3 overall and 5-2 in the TRC.

The Bulldogs will host Lehman Catholic Friday night.

Milton led 22-13, 37-31 and 61-37 at the quarter breaks.

Blake Brumbaugh had 26 points and 10 rebounds and Connor Yates had 19 points, six rebounds and two blocked shots.

Cooper Brown had a triple-double with 11 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists.

Tyler Kress added nine points

Northridge 46,

Lehman 41 OT

SIDNEY — The Lehman Catholic boys basketball team fell in overtime Tuesday night.

Lehman, 7-5 overall and 2-4 in the TRC, will travel to Milton-Union Friday night.

It was tied 6-6 after one quarter.

Northridge led 14-12 at halftime, Lehman led 26-25 after three quarters and it was tied 35-35 at the end of regulation.

Michael McFarland hit seven of 11 shots from the floor and led Lehman with 16 points and seven rebounds.

A’Zon Steele scored 14 points and Justin Chapman had 13 rebounds.

Newton 64,

FM 50

PLEASANT HILL — The Newton boys basketball team improved to 8-4 overall and 4-2 in the WOAC with a home win.

The Indians travel to Tri-County North Friday night.

Newton led 25-16, 40-28 and 50-45 at the quarter breaks.

Chandler Peters led Newton with 22 points, six rebounds and four assists.

Hudson Montgomery had 13 points and four assists, Harold Oburn had nine points and 10 rebounds and Quinton Smith and Quinn Peters had nine points each.

Arcanum 72,

Bradford 65

BRADFORD — The Bradford boys basketball team dropped to 7-4 overall and 4-2 in the WOAC.

The Railroaders host Mississinawa Valley Friday night.

Bradford led 19-18 after one quarter.

Arcanum went in front 36-34 at halftime and led 55-52 after three quarters.

Parker Davidson led Bradford with 39 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots.

Nolan Case had 11 points and Landon Wills scored six points.

Owen Csnan dished out seven assists and Hudson Hill had four assists.

LEWISBURG — The Troy Christian girls basketball team dropped a road game.

Troy Christian, 6-7, plays at Milton-Union Thursday night.

The Eagles led 8-6 after one quarter and 15-13 at halftime, but the game was tied 23-23 after three quarters.
