True Life services, in person or online

TROY — Join True Life Community Church this Sunday for the Easter sermon series, “Unshakable.” Jesus shows what it means to embrace a bold, unshakable faith, a faith grounded in the truth of God’s Word.

This April, the church’s prayer focus will be on our civil servants — specifically, the City of Troy Fire and Police Departments and the Miami County Sheriff’s Office. Please join the congregation as they pray for all who protect and serve the community.

Discovery class will be held Wednesday, May 5 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

Partnership class will Wednesday, May 12 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

The community is always welcome; TLC will open its doors this Sunday with worship service starting at 10 a.m. Masks are now mandatory in Ohio and must be worn indoors. The service will also be livestreamed on Facebook.

First Lutheran services

TROY — First Lutheran Church of Troy is back to public worship and invites the community to weekly worship services on Sundays at 10 a.m.

AA-Open Group will be held at 6 a.m. on Mondays, and AA- Men’s Group will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Saturdays.

St. Bonafice Church announces Spring Fest

PIQUA — St. Boniface Catholic Church is planning a Spring Fest on April 24 and 25. Featured dinners include “Fr. Angelo Caserta’s” Spaghetti & Meatballs on Saturday and “Longenecker’s” Barbequed Chicken on Sunday.

The Spaghetti/Meatball Dinners include a salad and dinner roll; Chicken Dinners include 1/2 chicken, chips, applesauce, and a dinner roll. Cost per dinner is $8.

Dinner tickets are presale only. To purchase, contact the St. Boniface Parish Office, 310 S. The dinners are carry-out only. Drive-thru pick-up at the Caserta Center (218 S. Downing) times are Saturday, 4 to 7 p.m.; Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. A Dessert Booth and Raffle Tickets/Cash Prizes will be available, as well. St. Patrick Church offers GriefShare seminar and support group

TROY — St. Patrick Church will be offering “GriefShare” a seminar and support group for the parish and local community. GriefShare offers videotape sessions that will be watched online. Attendees will meet in person for discussion of the topic addressed each week.

Masks will be worn and social distancing guidelines will be observed.

The afternoon sessions will meet in the St. Patrick Church undercroft, 409 East Main St. from 1 to 2 p.m. each Wednesday. The evening sessions will meet in the St. Patrick Paris Center, 444 East Water St. upstairs Room 3 from 7 to 8 p.m. Sessions meet each Wednesday for 13 weeks.
