Free meal offered

PIQUA — God’s Table, a free community meal, will be offered from 11:30 .m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 15, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 325 W. Ash St., Piqua.

Volunteers will be serving beef and noodles, green beans, fruit and a cookie. Due to COVID-19, volunteers will deliver the meal to your car. Enter the parking lot via Caldwell Street.

True Life services, in person or online

TROY — Join True Life Community Church this Sunday for the May sermon series, “Because of You.” See what God is doing through you, with you, and because of you.

This May, the prayer focus will be on service organizations. Specifically, Partners In Hope, Family Abuse Center of Miami County, Lincoln Community Center, and First Place Food Pantry. Please join us as we pray for all who serve our community.

Partnership class will Wednesday, May 12 from 6:30-8 p.m.

The community is always welcome; TLC will open its doors this Sunday with worship service starting at 10 a.m. Masks are now mandatory in Ohio and must be worn indoors. The service will also be live-streamed on Facebook.

First Lutheran holds services

TROY — First Lutheran Church of Troy is back to public worship and invites the community to weekly worship services on Sundays at 10 a.m.

AA-Open Group will be held at 6 a.m. on Mondays, and AA-Men’s Group will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Saturdays.

Church to host luncheon drive-through

COVINGTON — The Covington Christian Church Women’s Fellowship Salad Luncheon drive-through will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, May 21.

The drive-through can be entered from the alley off Pearl Street next to Covington Christian Church. Two containers full of the more popular salads, including the signature hot chicken salad and desserts all for donation, will be delivered to each vehicle. All meals will be prepackaged and ready for pickup. Special requests will not be taken at this time.

Stop by the church office to preorder and leave donations by May 20. Supplies will be limited so if lunch hasn’t been reserved. Office hours are Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Questions may be directed to the office at (937) 473-3443. Covington Christian Church is located at 115 N. Pearl St., Covington.

Reskilling workshops planned

TIPP CITY — Reskilling workshops on gardening, reducing waste, renewable energy for the home and church, and native plants will be held Saturday, May 22, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. under the tent at West Charleston Church of the Brethren, 4817 State Route 202, Tipp City.

Piqua Association of Churches starts video updates

PIQUA — Piqua Association of Churches President Paul Green prepared a video in February that can be accessed by going to YouTube and typing “Piqua Association of Churches’ 1st video update” to watch.
