First Lutheran holds services

TROY — First Lutheran Church of Troy is back to public worship and invites the community to weekly worship services on Sundays at 10 a.m.

Free Library available

TROY — A Little Free Library is located at Trinity Episcopal Church, 60 S. Dorset Road, Troy.

The Little Free Library is a small wooden box filled with books with the concept of “take a book, return a book” book exchange. Anyone may take a book or bring a book to share, and the library functions on the honor system.

Tipp City blood drive announced

TIPP CITY —The Tipp City United Methodist Church community blood drive will be held Thursday, Sept. 16 from 1:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 8 W. Main St., Tipp City.

Church to host luncheon drive-through

COVINGTON — The Covington Christian Church Women’s Fellowship Salad Luncheon drive-through will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17.

The drive-through can be entered from the alley off Pearl Street next to Covington Christian Church. Two containers full of the more popular salads, including the signature hot chicken salad and desserts all for donation, will be delivered to each vehicle. Also featured will be a broccoli salad and corkscrew pasta salad. All meals will be prepackaged and ready for pickup. Special requests will not be taken at this time.

Stop by the church office to preorder and leave donations by Thursday, Sept. 16.

The last Salad Luncheon Drive-thru of 2021 will be on Oct. 15, which will also include a Country Store full of homemade items such as crafts, candy, cakes, pies, cookies and so much more.

Supplies will be limited, so arrive early if lunch hasn’t been reserved. Office hours are Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Questions may be directed to the office at (937) 473-3443. Covington Christian Church is located at 115 N. Pearl St., Covington.

Harvest gathering planned

PIQUA — Bethel United Methodist Church has planned a Harvest Gathering for Sunday, Sept. 19. The community, friends and family are invited to join the church for a special time of worship, fellowship and lunch. Attendees will also meet the new pastor team, Mark Rudasill and Jordon McKenzie.

Griefshare Seminar offered

TROY — St. Patrick Church will be offering “GRIEFSHARE”, a seminar and support group to their parish and local community. This is a weekly seminar/support group for people grieving the cessation of a close personal relationship by death. It’s a place where those grieving can be around people who understand and are able to offer encouragement. At GriefShare, participants will learn valuable information that will help them through this difficult time in their life. Videotape seminar sessions with nationally recognized experts on grief and recovery topics will be featured.

This program will be held in the St. Patrick Parish Center, 444 E. Water St., upstairs in Room 3, each Wednesday for 13 weeks.

Two sessions will be offered: an afternoon session from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and an evening session from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Hope is Here series set

PIQUA — The Snyder Road Church of God, located at 636 Snyder Road in Piqua, will be recognizing National Back to Church Sunday with a special sermon series, “Hope is Here,” starting Sept. 19.

The Snyder Road Church of God invites the community to come back to church to renew and strengthen faith in these troubled times. Come join the people of faith at Snyder Road Church of God as they journey together to follow Jesus. PIQUA — Due to an unforeseen circumstance, there will be no God’s Table next Saturday, Sept. 18, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Piqua. God’s Table will resume in October.
