God’s Table to offer free meal

PIQUA — Westminster Presbyterian Church, 325 W. Ash St., will serve a free community meal from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 19.

The meal will include spiral sliced ham, cheesy potatoes, a vegetable, roll and dessert. Due to COVID-19 concerns, meals will be served drive-thru only. Attendees are asked to enter the parking lot via Caldwell St. God’s table is a free-of-charge meal served the third Saturday of each month.

St. Mary Church begins fish fries

PIQUA — The Lenten fish fries at St. Mary Church in Piqua continue Fridays from 5 to 7 p.m. through April 8. Meals will be served in the cafeteria at Piqua Catholic for dine-in or carry out. There will also be a drive-thru to purchase meals.

Drive-thru meals will have a set menu that includes fried fish, macaroni and cheese along with cole slaw and a dinner roll. Dine-in or carry out meals will feature baked or fried fish, French fries or macaroni and cheese, cole slaw or applesauce and a dinner roll.

Adult meals will be $10, seniors and carry-out will be $9 and children 12 and under will be $8.

Serving could change to drive-thru only due to health restrictions.

Hope’s Closet set for March 25

MIAMI COUNTY — Hope’s Closet, located at 248 Wood St. in Piuqa, will be open March 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hope Closet is a ministry of Fletcher United Methodist Church and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Piqua. Twice a year, they offer free prom and homecoming dresses at no charge all high school girls who need a formal dress and accessories.For more information, visit fletcherchurch.org/hopecloset.

St. John’s United Church of Christ Troy services

TROY — St. John’s United Church of Christ Troy will be offering 9:30 a.m. Adult Sunday School with the topic: “Mic Drop: Dropping the Mic and Walking Away,” along with a 10:30 a.m. Worship and Sermon on “Short People” by Rev. Don Crist.
