True Life services, in person or online

TROY — Join True Life Community Church this Sunday for the Easter sermon series, “Unshakable.” Jesus shows us what it means to embrace a bold, unshakable faith, a faith grounded in the truth of God’s Word.

This March, prayer focus will be on the Troy City Schools. Join True Life and pray together for the schools, students, and teachers. Specifically, Administration (Superintendent and Principals) and School Board, the Curriculum and Studies, the Teachers and Support Staff, and Students and their Families. Please keep local community schools in prayers.

The community is always welcome; TLC will open its doors this Sunday with worship service starting at 10 a.m. Masks are now mandatory in Ohio and must be worn indoors. The service will also be livestreamed on Facebook.

First Lutheran services

TROY — First Lutheran Church of Troy is back to public worship and invites the community to weekly worship services on Sundays at 10 a.m.

AA-Open Group will be held at 6 a.m. on Mondays, and AA- Men’s Group will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Saturdays.

St. Patrick Church offers GriefShare seminar and support group

TROY — St. Patrick Church will be offering “GriefShare” a seminar and support group for the parish and local community. GriefShare offers videotape sessions that will be watched online. Attendees will meet in person for discussion of the topic addressed each week.

Masks will be worn and social distancing guidelines will be observed.

The afternoon sessions will meet in the St. Patrick Church undercroft, 409 East Main St. from 1 to 2 p.m. each Wednesday. The evening sessions will meet in the St. Patrick Paris Center, 444 East Water St. upstairs Room 3 from 7 to 8 p.m. Sessions meet each Wednesday for 13 weeks.

St. Marys Church begins Lenten Fish Fries

PIQUA — Lenten fish fries at St. Mary Church in Piqua begin on Friday, Feb. 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. All meals are served in a drive-thru carry out only. Meals include three pieces of deep fried fish, macaroni and cheese, cole slaw and a dinner roll. Price is $8 for each meal.

Enter the parking lot next to St. Mary Catholic Church on the Greene Street side and exit on North Street after picking up your dinner.

First Brethren Church announces Easter Services

PLEASANT HILL — First Brethren Church will hold Easter Services on Sunday, April 4 beginning at 7:30 a.m.

• Community Sunrise Service will be held at 7:30 a.m. with a light breakfast to follow

• Sunday School with small groups for all ages will be held at 9:30 a.m.

• A Resurrection Celebration will be held at 10:30 a.m.

Piqua Baptist announces Easter week services

PIQUA — Piqua Baptist Church, located at 1402 High St. in Piqua, will host services throughout Easter week:

• Sunday, March 28 beginning at 10:45 a.m.: Palm Sunday “Praise to the Humble King”;

• Thursday, April 1 beginning at 7 p.m.: Maundy Thursday “The Hidden Prophesis of Passover”;

• Friday, April 2 beginning at 7 p.m.: Good Friday service “The King on the Cross”;

Sunday, April 4 services will begin at 8 a.m.:

• Early Service, “What He Did” will begin at 8 a.m. A breakfast will follow the early service.

• Easter Worship will be held at 10:45 a.m.
