CASSTOWN — The Miami East wrestling team blanked Tecumseh 69-0 Wednesday night.

Winning by pin were Max Shoree (126), Aaron Mills (132), Daniel Martin (150), Hunter Randall (175) and Drake Bennett (190).

Winning by decision was Cooper Shore (120), while winning by forfeit were Layton Hughes (138), Chance Rust (144), David Davis (157), Chris Smith (165), Mike Scherer (215) and Dustin Winner (285).

CASSTOWN — The Miami East boys basketball team rallied in the second half to improve to 5-2 on the season.

The Vikings trailed 15-11 after one quarter and 27-21 at halftime.

East took a 40-36 lead after three quarters and held on for the win.

Wes Enis had 18 points and six rebounds.

Mitchel Kemp hit seven of eight shots from the floor to score 14 points and had five rebounds and three steals.

Jacob Roeth added 12 points, five assists and three steals.

Connor Apple scored eight points and Camren Monnin had seven points and five assists.

Miami East plays at Versailles Tuesday.

PIQUA — The Piqua girls basketball team dropped to 0-9 overall and 0-7 in the MVL.

Piqua will play at Fairborn Wednesday night.

The Lady Indians trailed 17-5, 23-17 and 34-23 at the quarter breaks.

Reagan Toopes had 11 points and five rebounds.

Kenzi Anderson added 10 points, six rebounds and four steals and Aubree Carroll had three steals.
