To the Editor:

As both a longtime educator with the Troy City Schools and the recently retired mayor of the city of Troy, I understand the importance of a great school system within our community. Both go hand-in-hand to maintain our quality of life.

The current levy on the ballot is our opportunity to pay it forward for future generations. The 5.8 mill renewal levy, which will result in no new taxes, will generate needed operating monies for our Troy City School District. Now, more than ever, it is important to support our schools and provide the quality education our children deserve as they become the leaders of tomorrow.

Please join me in voting “Yes” on this renewal levy as together we continue to strengthen that strong bond between our schools and our community!
