TROY — At 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 7, the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center will show “The Nutty Professor.” The film is free and includes an informational introduction to the film. Popcorn and drinks are provided.

Jerry Lewis directed and co-wrote (with Bill Richmond) this 1963 film that stars himself as Professor Julius Kelp and Buddy Love. Kelp is a timid, nearsighted chemistry professor who invents a potion that turns himself into a handsome, suave ladies’ man, Buddy Love. The Jekyll and Hyde potion works well enough, until it wears off at the most embarrassing and awkward moments. The film also stars Stella Stevens and Del Moore.

The Troy-Hayner Cultural Center is proudly supported by the citizens of the Troy City School District through a local tax levy and generous gifts to the Friends of Hayner.

Troy-Hayner Cultural Center is located at 301 West Main St., Troy. For more information, visit www.troyhayner.org or call (937) 339-0457.
