SIDNEY — One person was ejected and all three Piqua residents involved in a single-vehicle crash on Pasco-Montra Road Monday evening were taken to Wilson Health for their injuries.
According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, dispatch received a call Monday, April 18, at 10:35 p.m., on the report of a one-vehicle crash where one occupant had been ejected from the vehicle in the 6,000 block of Pasco-Montra Road.
Todd Vinton Woodard, 48, of Piqua, told deputies he had just turned northbound onto Pasco-Montra Road from state Route 29 and when he went over the railroad tracks lost control of the vehicle, which then rolled.
When deputies arrived, Shannon Woodard, 43, who had been ejected from the vehicle, was laying in the field.
Woodard was taken to the hospital by Sidney Fire & Rescue for suspected serious injuries. Angel E. Barhorst, 51, was transported by Spirit Medical Transport for possible injuries. Woodard was transported by Perry Port Salem Rescue to Wilson Health for suspected minor injuries, the crash report said.
Woodard was cited with failure to control and with a seat belt violation. His maroon, 2011 Chevrolet Equinox was towed from the scene by Elmer’s Towing.
Port Jefferson Fire also responded to the scene.
