TIPP CITY — The Tipp City Public Library is excited to announce the beginning of 2022 Summer Reading Challenge, taking place June 1st-July 31. The theme of this year’s challenge, An Ocean of Possibilities focuses on adventures under the sea. To celebrate, they are hosting a kick off event taking place Monday, June 6, from 6-8 p.m.

Children and families of all ages are welcome to participate. Families can also register for the Beanstack Summer Reading Challenge.

Take a Storybook Walk with the Miami County Parks District in front of the building. Browse and buy used children and teen books in the parking lot and then play ocean inspired games. There will also be boat races and magic from Ranger Vic. Learn about hydroponic gardening and see a watershed demonstration by the Miami Water & Soil Conservation District. The evening will conclude with a musical performance about sea animals by local educator and naturalist, Chris Rowland at 7 p.m.

The library summer program is supported in part by the Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services Funds, granted through the State Library of Ohio.
