Tipp voters choose 3 new BOE members

TIPP CITY – Tipp City voters chose Angie McMurry, Cindy Wilson Dillard and Kyle Thompson on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 7, to fill the three open seats on the Tipp City Exempted Village Schools Board of Education. All election results are unofficial until they certified by the Miami County Board of Elections after Election Day on Nov. 21.

The other four candidates seeking election were David Morrhead, Linda Ares, Joshua Grear and Ray Leo Lilly III.

McMurry earned 3,408 votes (22.60%), Dillard earned 2,668 votes (17.69%) and Thompson earned 2,500 votes (16.58%).

Morrhead earned 1,770 votes (11.74%), Lilly received 1,740 votes (11.54%), Ares received 1,716 votes (11.38%), and Grear earned 1,276 votes (8.46%).

A total of 6,763 out of the 11,787 registered voters cast their ballots for the election. That was a total of 57.38% of registered voters.
