Troy bowling tunes up for MVL, splits with Springfield: Thursday sports roundup

TROY — In one final tuneup for Sunday’s Miami Valley League Tournament, the Troy bowling teams split a non-league matchup at Troy Bowl against Springfield, with the boys winning 2,246-2,056 and the girls falling 2,162-1,912.

For the boys (11-5), Brayden Ganger rolled 184-220—404 to lead the way. Jordan Fisher rolled 226-170—396, Carson Rogers rolled 212-170—382, Tyler Stoltz added a 189 game, Nathan Hamilton and Drew Snurr each added a 182 and Jacob Allison added a 160.

For the girls (11-5), Kayleigh McMullen led the way with 150-225—375, Kylie Schiml rolled 203-147—360, Adara Myers rolled 171-139—310, Hope Shiltz added a 158 game, Jami Loy a 141, Morgan Shilt a 136 and Kaitlin Jackson a 127.

Troy will compete at the MVL Tournament Sunday at Beaver-Vu.

Miamisburg

Sweeps Tipp

MIAMISBURG — The Tippecanoe bowling teams were swept at Miamisburg Thursday in a non-league matchup, with the boys falling 2,377-2,286 and the girls falling 1,706-1,633.

For the boys (11-5), James Ridgeway rolled 238-193—431, Austin Post rolled 199-223—422, Colin Maalouf rolled 184-174—358, Aaron Davis rolled 189-162—351 and Zach Kauffmann rolled 147-164—311.

For the girls (3-13), Emma Lara rolled 158-166—324, Alison Johnston rolled 140-147—287, Julian Arblaster rolled 137-111—258, Emily Von Krosigk rolled 135-111—246, Isabeall Janney added a 120 game and Lilly Green added a 116.

Tippecanoe will compete at the MVL Tournament Sunday at Beaver-Vu.

D-II Sectional

HUBER HEIGHTS — The Division II bowling sectional tournament was postponed on Thursday due to inclement weather.

The tournament was rescheduled to Tuesday, Feb. 18.
