Troy Legends close Lancaster tourney with win

LANCASTER — The Troy American Legion Post 43 Legends 18U baseball team will take an 18-13 record into Tuesday’s game at Piqua Post 184.

The Legends closed the Lancaster American Legion Post 11 tournament with a 2-1 win over Lafayaette Post 11 Saturday.

Troy broke a 1-1 tied in the sixth inning.

Anderson Mohler singled and came around to score on Brandon North’s triple.

North was 2-for-2 at the plate in the game with a double and a triple.

Drew Westfall pitched a five-hitter, striking out seven and walking four.

Troy Legends 1

Troy struggled to get the bats going in Friday’s opening game.

Peyton Offenbacher had the Legends only hit.

Dominic Moyer, Justin Huwer and Michael Till combined on a nine-hitter, striking out four and walking four.

Cambridge/Belle Valley 8,

Troy Legends 7

In Friday’s second game, the Legends came up just short against Cambridge/Belle Valley Post 84.

Jaxon Hill was 2-for-5 with two RBIs.

Michel Grieshop was 2-for-3 and Mohler had two two RBIs.

North and Drew Snipes both doubled.

Logan Blevins, Mohler and Till combined on a10-hitter, striking out two and walking eight.
