Troy library to hold book sale

TROY — The Friends of the Library will hold a book sale for the public May 16-18 in the Community Room at the Troy-Miami County Public Library located at 419 W. Main St. in Troy.

A special members-only preview night will be held on May 15 for Friends of the Library members from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Renewal or new memberships are available to purchase at the door for $5 a person or $9 a family.

The hours for the public sale will be May 16 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.; May 17 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; and May 18 from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. when all books will be half price.

This special sale is in addition to the used bookstore in the library’s lower level that the Friends of the Library operates weekly on Mondays through Thursdays from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Proceeds from all sales are used by the Friends to support and expand literacy and the quality of library services and programs. The Friends of the Library is a non-profit charitable organization working in partnership with the library through advocacy, volunteerism, and fundraising.
