Jan. 15

THEFT: An officer responded to Dollar General, 785 W. Market St., for a report of a theft at approximately 11 a.m.

ACCIDENT: A private property hit skip accident was reported at Van Cleve, 617 E. Main St.

DISTURBANCE: Officers were dispatched at 5:19 p.m. to the 200 block of Elmwood Drive due to a disturbance that was reported. Male was not located on scene. Jesse E. Mercado, 34, at large, was charged with first-degree felony burglary, third-degree felony violation of a protection order, fifth-degree felony breaking and entering, and first-degree misdemeanor assault in connection with this incident.

ACCIDENT: A non-injury traffic accident was reported at 6:26 p.m. in the area of West Main Street and Troy Town Drive.

CIVIL DISPUTE: An officer was dispatched to a report of a theft in progress at 9:24 p.m. on the 1000 block of Mayfield Drive involving a weapon at a family member’s residence. Weapon to be returned. Civil matter between both parties involved.

Jan. 16

OVI: An officer initiated a traffic stop in the area of West Street near South Clay Street at 12:48 a.m. The driver, identified as Kristi D. Hatfield, 35, of Troy, was cited for OVI, driving under suspension, marked lanes, and open container.

ASSIST SQUAD: Officers were dispatched at 5:57 a.m. to the 800 block of North Market Street on a report of a possible overdose that resulted in one male being transported to Kettering Hospital. Dejuan L. Scott, 35, of Troy, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor inducing panic in connection with this incident.

THEFT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE: A motor vehicle was reported stolen at the Budget Inn, 1330 Archer Dr., at 10 a.m. It went missing sometime between 10 p.m. Jan. 15 and 8:30 a.m. Jan. 16.

MENACING: There was a menacing complaint at 11:34 a.m. on the 500 block of North Market Street.

HIT SKIP: A hit skip accident was reported at approximately 7 p.m. on the 800 block of East Staunton Road.

Jan. 17

ACCIDENT: A non-injury, two-vehicle traffic accident was reported at 8:50 a.m. in the area of 5 E. Main St.

ACCIDENT: An officer located a two-vehicle accident located on West Main Street near North Weston Road while on patrol at approximately 3:40 p.m. Upon further investigation, the operator at fault was cited for failure to maintain assured cleared distance ahead.

ACCIDENT: A private property accident was reported at Walmart at 7:26 p.m.

ACCIDENT: There was a report of an accident at the intersection of West Main Street and the Interstate-75 northbound off ramp at 7:49 p.m. Josiah E. Peeples, 41, of Greenville, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor OVI in connection with this incident.
