Troy to hold second round of leaf collection

For the Miami Valley Today

TROY — On Monday, Nov. 8, the city of Troy street crews will commence the second round of leaf pick-up.

A map showing anticipated pickup dates by address is available at the city website at

To help provide efficient collection, the city asks that residents:

• Do not place brush or yard waste in leaf piles. Brush must be bundled or bagged in paper yard waste bags and placed next to curbside trash. Any brush not placed in yard waste bags must be no larger than 4 inches in diameter, cut in 4-foot lengths, bundled, and tied.

• Rake leaves to the street one foot out from the curb. Do not block catch basins with piles of leaves.

• Do not place leaf piles around or between parked cars.

Residents can also take leaves and yard waste directly to the Dye Mill Road Facility in yard waste bags made of compostable paper. The facility will remain open through Saturday, Nov. 27.
