Troy’s Massingill qualifies for state bowling tournament

BEAVERCREEK — Troy sophomore Bryce Massingill qualified for Friday’s Division I state bowling tournament at Wayne Webb Lanes at Friday’s district tournament.

Massingill rolled games of 249, 263 and 228 to finish second at Friday’s district tournament at Beaver-Vu Lanes and join the Troy girls bowling team in qualifying for state.

Tyler Stoltz rolled games of 211, 195 and 179 for a 585 series and Ethan Blanchard rolled games of 191, 167 and 158 for a 516 series.

Carson Hillman had games of 198, 139 and 176 for a 513 series and Logan Smith rolled games of 199 and 257.

Troy finished ninth as a team.

The Trojans started out with games of 1,048, 878 and 998 and followed it with baker games of 210, 245, 178, 177, 166 and 180.

Piqua’s Dylan Jenkins rolled games of 196, 199 and 185 for a 580 series.

Tippecanoe had two bowlers compete.

Dillen Swartz rolled games of 159, , 154 and 140 for a 453 series and Cameron Hunt rolled games of 161, 151 and 112 for a 424 series.
