The Tippecanoe baseball team dropped to 1-1 on its Florida trip with a 9-5 loss to South Walton Tuesday.

Matt Salmon was 2-for-2 for the Red Devils, while Preston Zumwalt was 2-for-4.

Braydon Bottles had two RBIs.

Rob Ellis, Blake Thompson, Tyler Minnich and Josh Dietz combined on a seven-hitter, walking four and striking out three.

Covington 3

COVINGTON — The Troy Christian baseball team rallied for a win over Covington in TRC action.

The Eagles scored all their runs in the last two innings.

Matthew Major was 3-for-4 with three RBIs.

Camden Koukol was 2-for-4 and Lucas Day was 2-for-3.

Connor Fry had two RBIs.

Day and Zane Harris combined on a four-hitter, striking out 14 and walking three.

Jensen Wagoner led Covington before being injured on a slide into third base.

Wagoner was 3-for-3 with a two-run triple and combined with Tyler Jay on an 11-hitter, striking out 11 and walking three.

Milton-Union 10,

Lehman 3

SIDNEY — The Milton-Union baseball team opened the season with a 10-3 win over Lehman Catholic Tuesday in TRC action.

Wyatt Kimmel was 2-for-3 with a double and Nathan Morter Jr. was 2-for-4.

Trevor Brazini had two RBIs and Nathan Thompson had a double.

Peyton Nichols, Micah Russell, Kimmel and Eric Trittschuh combined on a five-hitter, striking out nine and walking six.

Seth Kennedy was 2-for-3 for Lehman and Ethan Stiver was 2-for-4.

David Rossman, Seth Knapke and Kennedy combined on a nine-hitter, striking out six and walking eight.

Miami East 10,

Northridge 0

CASSTOWN — The Miami East baseball team opened the season with a 10-0 win over Northridge in TRC action.

Austin Francis had a double and four RBIs and Nathan Woolley was 2-for-3 with a double.

Ethan Howell pitched a two-hitter, striking out six and walking two.

DEGRAFF — The Bethel baseball team broke a 3-3 tie with four runs in the fifth inning and held on for a win in TRC action Tuesday.
