TROY — The Troy girls tennis team celebrated Senior Night with a 5-0 win over Stebbins in MVL action.

The Lady Trojans improved to 12-4 overall and 6-2 in the MVL.

Troy honored seniors Josie Romick, Olivia Johnston, Katie Bertke and Savannah Swanson.

In singles, Nina Short defeated Lena Ho 6-1, 6-2; Elizabeth Niemi defeated Gaby Mann 6-0, 6-0 and Romick defeated Madi Mann 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles, Johnston and Casey Rogers defeated Lyrah Gold and Madison Henry 6-1, 6-2 and Bertke and Swanson defeated Ravi ya Dauletaliy and Rochelle Woodson 6-0, 6-0.

Lehman 4,

SIDNEY — The Lehman Catholic tennis coach Tim Ungericht picked up his 75th win Tuesday night.

“It was a great comeback by first doubles from 5-0 down to clinch the team win for us,” Ungericht said. “Lilly (Williams) played real smart and consistent and Evelyn (Johnston) moved up to third singles and won her first ever varsity singles match. Sarah (Lins) battled hard in a long, close match.”

In singles, Williams won 6-1, 6-0; Lins lost 4-6, 7-6, 10-4 and Johnston won 6-3, 2-6, 10-4.

In doubles, Ashlyn Hamblin and Eliza Westerheide won 6-1, 7-5 and Greeneview forfeited second doubles.

WEST CARROLLTON — The Troy volleyball team cruised to a 25-8, 25-12, 25-15 win over West Carrollton Tuesday night.

Brynn Siler had 10 kills and Hannah Duff had six kills, three aces and seven digs.

Kasey Sager had six kills and three blocks and Zoe Tracey had five kills and three blocks.

Maddie Frey had five kills, Ellie Fogarty had nine aces, 23 assists and seven digs, Kayla Huber served five aces and had six digs and Brooklyn Jackson had three aces and 13 digs.

TIPP CITY — The Tippecanoe volleyball team cruised to a 25-11, 25-12, 25-7 win over Xenia Tuesday in MVL play.

“The team controlled the tempo of the match from the first whistle,” Tippecanoe coach Howard Garcia said. “Serve receive was very good and our out of system plays and transition plays were very effective.”

The Red Devils did not allow Xenia to score from the service line or net in the third set.

Alec Voisard pounded 12 kills, while Nicole Strong had nine and Olivia Gustavson added eight.

Savannah Clawson had 12 digs and six aces, Hannah Wildermuth dished out 28 assists and Elli McCormick had eight assists.

Alexa Mader added seven digs.

Piqua 1

PIQUA — The Piqua volleyball team dropped a home match 25-21, 15-25, 25-20, 25-15 in MVL action Thursday night.

“The kids are playing great volleyball and I am so proud of them for working so well together as a team,” Piqua coach Jenni Huelskamp said.

Elizabeth Copsey had 16 kills, 14 digs and two aces and Jordan Adkins had nine kills and two blocks.

Marissa Bradd had 10 digs and Olivia Anthony had 25 assists.

TIPP CITY — The Bethel volleyball team picked up a 25-21, 17-25, 25-22, 25-5 win in TRC action.

Karlee Plozay had 17 kills, 10 digs and six aces for Bethel and Karinne Stormer had 15 digs.

Layla Moore had five kills, Annabelle Adams had 25 assists and five digs and Claire Bailey had 18 digs.

For Troy Christian, Maddie Fourman had eight kills, four aces and 10 digs and Chloe Simmons had seven kills and three blocks.

Kathleen Johnson had six kills and Ainsely Davis had 19 assists and six digs.

Lilly Smith had 25 digs, Emilee Strine had 10 digs and Regin Wilkins added eight digs.

Marissa Comer had 10 kills and three blocks and Taylor Geise had nine kills and five digs.

Kailee Rank had six kills and eight digs, Caroline Wesner had 26 assists and five aces and Claire Adams had six digs.

PLEASANT HILL — The Newton volleyball team improved to 14-0 with a 25-13, 25-18, 25-17 win in WOAC action.

Emma Hemphill had eight kills and six digs and Sienna Montgomery had eight kills.

Ella Rapp dished out 22 assists and Eva Bowser had nine digs.

Olivia Rapp had seven digs and Kaylee Deeter added six digs.

BRADFORD — The Bradford volleyball team lost to Preble Shawnee 25-9, 25-12, 25-6 in WOAC action.

Lailah Brewer had three assists and Faith Gray served two aces and had six digs.

TIPP CITY — The Bethel girls golf team lost a match on the front nine at Homestead Golf Course.

The Bees will return there Thursday for the TRC tournament.

Bethel scores were Kerigan Calhoun 50, Aly Bird 53, Abby Stratton 57, Paige Kearns 57 and Kaylee Brookhart 58.

PIQUA — Covington finished off the TRC regular season at 12-0 with a win on the front nine at Echo Hills Tuesday.

The Buccs will play in the league tournament Thursday at Homestead Golf Course.

“We played much better than yesterday’s round against Miami East and Newton,” Covington coach Bill Wise said. “We tied our season best of 159 after shooting our worst round (Monday) of 189. We needed a good bounce back round before our league tournament on Thursday.”

Sam Grabeman, Bryson Hite and Matt Dieperink all shared medalist honors for Covington with 39s.

Other Covington scores were Connor Humphrey 42, Hunter Ray 44 and Cameron Haines 46.

Bethel scores were Kyle Brueckman 44, Josh Fiery 46, Ben Sonnanstine 49, Mike Halleg 50, Gabe Veldman 50 and Evan Goodman 53.

DEGRAFF — The Milton-Union boys golf team lost a road match in TRC action.

The Bulldogs will host the TRC tournament Thursday.

Grady Vechazone was co-medalist and led Milton with a 40.

Other Bulldog scorers were Colin Fogle 47, Colten Alcorn 50 and Maria Whalen 52.

VANDALIA — The Troy boys soccer team lost a close game Tuesday in MVL play.

Samuel Westfall had eight saves in goal for Troy.

GREENVILLE — The Tippecanoe boys soccer team rolled to an easy win in MVL action.

Keegan Fowler had two goals for Tipp, while AJ Jergens, Evan McIntyre and Colin Turner all had one goal and one assist.

Carson King, Dominic Mendiola, James Miller and Caden Turner all scored one goal.

Caleb Ransom dished out four assists and Landon Haas and Hudson Owen had one assist each.

Michael Jergens had the shutout in goal, with one save.

PIQUA — Nathan Buecker scored six goals and had one assist in Piqua’s win over West Carrollton in MVL action Tuesday.

Ty Pettus had one goal for Piqua and Landon Lawson and Collin Snyder both dished out two assists.

Quintin Bachman and Costas Elliott had one assist each.

Josh Heath had 14 saves in goal.

PLEASANT HILL — The Newton boys soccer team won in WOAC action at home Tuesday.

Sawyer Renner had one goal and one assist for Newton, while Dan Fisher and Parker Kanet scored one goal each.

Isaac Beidelman had one assist.
