PIQUA — It isn’t often these days that a person can boast of spending their entire career with just one company. It takes a special person and it takes a special company.

Last week, Debbie Westfall marked her 45th anniversary working at Scott Family McDonald’s.

Westfall, a graduate of Miami East High School started as a line worker when she was part of the team that opened the Troy McDonald’s store on West Main Street.

She knew then that “this” was the place to work, for her. Within two years, Westfall was promoted to a management position and the rest, as they say, is history.

Westfall spoke highly of the Scott family and their franchise. “They are a good company to work for,” said Westfall.

Stacy Scott, vice president of the franchise said of Westfall, ” Debbie brings a genuine warmth and hospitality to our guests. Her dedication to our family and brand is something special and we feel blessed as she continues to impress our guests every day. She truly makes golden moments happen.”

Westfall currently serves as Swing Manager for Scott Family McDonald’s East Ash Street location.

When asked about her future plans, Westfall said that she currently has no plans to retire any time soon. She still enjoys working with guests and it is obvious that the guests look forward to seeing her smile as they walk in the door each day.
