Racers prepare to start the Holly Jolly 5k and 10k race in Piqua on Saturday, Dec. 9. There were 121 entrants for the 5k and 29 for the 10k, hosted by Mainstreet Piqua.

Parker Jackson, 17, of Springfield, wins the Piqua Holly Jolly 5k run with a time of 16:39 on Saturday Dec. 9. Melissa Anderson of Troy won the 5k in the women’s division. Jared Coleman of Troy won the 10k in the men’s division and Savanna Smith of West Milton won the 10k in the women’s division.

Chris Mumma, 41, of New Carlisle finished second place in the Holly Jolly 5k event on Saturday Dec. 9. 150 runners and walkers participated in this year’s event which was sponsored by Mainstreet Piqua.
