MIAMI COUNTY — Aktion Club of Miami County is planning to host a virtual dance party from 7-8 p.m. Thursday, March 25 to benefit the March of Dimes.

Aktion Club is a service and leadership club for adults with disabilities and is a branch of Kiwanis International. The local chapter is a partnership between the Miami County Board of Developmental Disabilities, also known as Riverside, and the Kiwanis Club of Troy.

March of Dimes leads the fight for the health of all mothers and babies through research, advocacy and education to give every baby the best possible start. According to the March of Dimes’ website, about half a million babies are born premature or with birth defects in the U.S. each year. It is a cause near and dear to the hearts of many Aktion Club members.

A $5 donation is appreciated, but not required. Guests may also donate without dancing.

Please make checks payable to Kiwanis Club of Troy, and send to Riverside/Miami County Board of Developmental Disabilities, care of Aktion Club, 1625 Troy Sidney Road , Troy, OH 45373.

Those interested in attending the virtual dance should register by contacting Amy Shank at [email protected] or by leaving a message at (937) 440-3051. Once registered, a Zoom link will be sent.
