TIPP CITY — American Legion Post 586 will host the first annual Thomas Sedam Memorial Fish Fry on April 9, 2022 from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Post located at 377 North 3rd Street.

The event is being held in memory of the late Thomas Sedam, a Miami County Corrections officer, who lost his life to COVID-19, last year.

Money raised from the fish fry will be used to fund scholarships to the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy for men and women who choose to enter the field of law enforcement.

Caleb Steggeman described Sedam as a dedicated law enforcement professional who would do anything to help others. Assisting aspiring law enforcement and corrections officers would be something that Sedam would be proud to be a part.

Tickets to the event are limited and are first-come, first-served. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

In addition to food, the event will have a live D.J. Show Down, and Black Jack Tables.

There will be a cash bar and Jello shots. Draft beer is included in the price of a fish dinner.

Other activities include a 50/50 drawing, gift baskets, raffles, and “much more.”

For more information or to purchase tickets, please contact Caleb Steggeman at 937-524-1552, Chris Steggemann at 937-524-1552, or Danielle Sedam at 937-238-7116
