Craft boxes available

TIPP CITY — Tipp Monroe Community Services has created craft boxes for children ages 4-9 that contain crafts for Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day and Easter. All the items needed to make the crafts are included in the box. There are also some holiday surprises included. Kits are $28 each and are available for pick up at the TMCS office from Feb. 1 through March 31 or until supplies last. Register online at tmcomservices.org to reserve a box.

Blood drive set

TIPP CITY — Ginghamsburg Church will host a community blood drive from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13 in the South Campus Chapel, 7695 S. County Road 25–A, Tipp City.

Donors get free testing for COVID-19 antibodies, the “Team Donor” long-sleeve T-shirt and the new “Fight. Heal. Give” face mask.

‘Red games’ to raise awareness

MIAMI VALLEY — February is American Heart Month. To help raise awareness of the need for heart health screenings, Kettering Health Network’s sports medicine and heart and vascular care teams and local high schools are partnering to hold “Red Games” at basketball games in February.

Red rally towels will be given out at the games to celebrate Go Red month. “Red Games” will be observed at the following local varsity basketball games.

• Girls varsity basketball games:

Monday, Feb. 1 — Cedarville vs. Newton

• Boys varsity basketball games:

Tuesday, Feb. 9 — Bethel vs. Greeneview

Friday, Feb. 12 — Twin Valley South vs. Bradford

The Kettering Health Network Sports Medicine team provides athletic training services to area high schools and colleges.
