Meet and greet set

PIQUA — Scouts BSA Ladies Troop 295 will host a meet and greet at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 325 W. Ash St.

Use the marked door off the alley. Come out and learn more about the Scouting opportunities offered for females between the ages of 11-18 in the Scouts BSA program.

Board meeting upcoming

BRADFORD — The Bradford Exempted Village School Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 760 Railroad Ave., Bradford. The board will vote on the school calendar.

Volunteers needed for bingo

TROY — Volunteers are sought for the Miami Valley Veterans Museum’s weekly bingo events to raise funds to support Miami Valley veterans.

Volunteers are needed who are willing to wait on bingo players during the event, sell tear-off tickets and support other bingo-related activities including serving food to attendees. Volunteers must be 18 years or older.

Bingo games will be held every Saturday from 1-5 p.m. starting on Feb 27 through April 24.

All event attendees and volunteers will be required to wear masks and to observe social distancing. The museum is planning with the help of Miami County Public Health.

The fast-moving bingo games will open at noon Saturday, Feb 27 with the games starting at 1 p.m. and activities ending by 5 p.m. in the main gallery of the Miami Valley Veterans Museum, 2245 S. County Rd 25-A, Troy.

Volunteers will receive a free meal and drinks at the event.

Tear-off tickets, as well as food, drinks and snacks, will be available for purchase. No alcohol will be served.

Snowman contest offered

TIPP CITY — During the month of February, send in your snowman photos to Tipp Monroe Community Services Program Coordinator Katie Sonnanstine at [email protected] of your best snowman creation. Include all names of builders with the photo. All entries must include a sign in the photo with the snowman that says “TMCS Snowman Building Contest 2021” and at least one builder.

The deadline to submit photos is Friday, Feb. 28. This contest is open to residents of Tipp City and Monroe Township only. It is free to enter, but you must register at tmcomservices.org to be included in the contest. The top three snowmen will receive a reward. Props, themes and colors are all encouraged. All entries must be “family friendly.”
