Cemetery clean-up set

TROY — City staff will begin the annual spring clean-up of Riverside Cemetery and Rosehill Cemetery on March 15.

Residents are asked to remove wreaths, ground-mounted displays, and any other items or decorations that have been left on gravesites by that date. All non-permanent decorations will be removed by city staff to allow raking and leaf-blowing around the two cemeteries.

New cemetery decorations can be placed starting April 15, after city staff has performed the annual spring maintenance.

All decorations placed must conform to the Cemetery Department Rules and Regulations for the Use of Flowers and Other Decorations. Copies of the rules are available from the cemetery office or online at https://www.troyohio.gov/cemetery.

Soup swap planned at library

BRADFORD — Bradford Public Library will be hosting its second “Soup Swap” from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 13.

Simply make your soup at home, package it in the containers provided, and bring it in with your recipe the day of the swap. Participants will take turns choosing the soups they want to take home. You will take home the same amount of soup you bring to the swap. Staff recommends bringing in at least 4 quarts. Participants will also go home with a recipe booklet containing all the soups that were brought in that day.

Participation is limited to 10 cooks. Social distancing guidelines will be followed and participants will be asked to wear a facial covering.
