Offices to close

PIQUA — Piqua City offices will be closed on Monday, July 5, for the observed holiday.

Garbage, refuse, and recycling collections will be on regular schedule that week.

Please note that refuse collection will not be delayed for the Fourth of July holiday.

The city urges all customers to place their containers at their usual collection points the evening before for early pick-ups the following day.

New hours announced

PIQUA — Effective July 6, new office hours for the Piqua Health and Sanitation Department will be as follows:

• 8 a.m. to noon, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays

• 1-5 p.m., Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays

• 8 a.m. to noon, Wednesdays office closed

• 1-5 p.m., Wednesdays office open

TROY — Troy city offices will be closed Monday, July 5, in observance of the Fourth of July holiday. The Troy City Council meeting for that week will take place on Tuesday, July 6.

City refuse collection and curbside recycling will not be delayed and will be collected on the usual weekly schedule.

Board meeting planned

WEST MILTON — The Milton-Union Exempted Village School District Board of Education will hold a special board meeting on Wednesday, June 30, at 6 p.m. in the board conference room, located 7610 Milton Potsdam Rd., West Milton.

Special session planned

BRADFORD — The Bradford Exempted Village School District Board of Education will hold a special session on Tuesday, June 29, at 6:30 p.m. This meeting is for financial actions, potential employment, and a work session. The special session will be followed by an executive session for the purposes of personnel action and discussion on property acquisition.

TROY — The Troy Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 8 a.m. June 30 at the Troy Board of Education office, 500 N. Market St., Troy, to discuss the fiscal year-end closing, school bus purchases and the TCSSA contract.

TIPP CITY — Tipp Monroe Community Services is offering a class at the Tipp City Public Library on July 22 from 5-6 p.m. This is a free class that teaches the rights and options regarding long-term care, nursing home and at-home care, and Medicaid qualifications for coverage. Find out how to protect your assets and how to navigate the Medicaid application process including the uses of powers of attorney, guardianships, trusts, and spend down techniques. The instructor is Attorney Joseph A. Downing. There is no charge for this class but registration is required. To register for this class, visit the TMCS website: tmcomservices.org.
