June 18

TRAFFICKING DRUGS: Troy police filed charges of third-degree felony aggravated trafficking in drugs, fourth-degree felony trafficking in cocaine, and fourth-degree felony trafficking in fentanyl-related compounds against Aaron A. Evans, 43, of Troy. The charges stemmed from lab results that Troy police received regarding substances reportedly found on Evans’ person and belongings during an arrest on May 30.

The lab results indicated that a plastic baggie found in Evans’ pocket contained less than 0.10 grams of fentanyl and para-fluroentanyl. According to reports from the Troy Police Department, the following substances were located in the locked container on Evans’ person at the time of his arrest:

• Approximately 1.56 grams of methamphetamine

• Approximately 1.17 grams of cocaine

• Approximately 0.28 grams of fentanyl and para-fluroentanyl

• Approximately 0.20 gram of cocaine

• Approximately 0.35 grams of fentanyl and para-fluroentanyl

Evans was first picked on May 30 for having multiple warrants for his arrest. He then attempted to flee custody after being treated at the Upper Valley Medical Center (UVMC). Evans recently pleaded guilty to charges of third-degree felony escape and fourth-degree felony assault on a peace officer in connection with that incident. Evans is currently incarcerated at the Miami County Jail.

DISORDERLY: A male subject was reportedly being disorderly at 2:40 p.m. on the 200 block of South Union Street. The male was located, and he was reportedly acting he was under the influence of drugs. He was found to be in possession of a syringe. He was transported to Kettering Hospital by the Troy Fire Department. Matthew J. Akers, 29, of West Milton, was charged with second-degree misdemeanor possession of a drug abuse instrument in connection with this incident.

TRAFFIC STOP: Troy police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at approximately 9 p.m. on Foss Way in front of Speedway on the 800 block of North Market Street. Police issued two minor misdemeanor possession of marijuana citations to two adult males. The vehicle was impounded after plate seizure.

June 19

TRAFFIC STOP: At approximately 2:10 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of North Market Street and Littlejohn Road. The driver was found to be unlicensed and had multiple felony warrants. The driver was arrested and found to be in possession of drugs and paraphernalia. The driver was issued a citation, incarcerated, and charged with multiple drug offenses. The vehicle was towed.

ACCIDENT: At approximately 9:30 p.m., police responded to the area of McKaig Avenue and Armand Drive in reference to an accident that occurred at the circle on South Dorset Road and McKaig Avenue. Upon further investigation, Abby E. Huston, 27, of Troy, was charged with OVI, OVI prior refusal, hit/skip, failure to maintain reasonable control, and possession of marijuana in connection with this incident.

June 20

OVI: Officers were dispatched to Kroger, 731 W. Market St., in regard to a suspicious male sitting in his vehicle at approximately 12:30 a.m. James R. King, 55, address unknown, was cited for OVI and other offenses.

DOG BITE: There was a report of a male subject bitten by a dog at approximately 11:15 p.m. on the 500 block of South Walnut Street. The male was transported to the hospital and a report was taken.

June 21

LOOSE DOG: There was a report of a loose dog found at 1:30 a.m. on the 400 block of South Walnut Street. The dog’s owner was cited. Charisse L. Feltner, 29, of Troy, was cited for minor misdemeanor animal running at large.

ASSIST SQUAD: Officers were dispatched to a male who was unresponsive on the sidewalk near Harrison and Washington streets at approximately 6 a.m. The male was identified and transported to Kettering Hospital. Investigation is pending.

June 22

HIT SKIP: There was a report of a hit skip accident at approximately 12:05 a.m. on the 100 block of Ash Street. A report was taken.

DRUG OFFENSE: Brent E. Smith, 50, of Piqua, was issued a summons for fifth-degree felony possession of methamphetamine.
