SIDNEY — Longstanding Shelby County residents may recognize a familiar business name atop the former Emerson facilities on Campbell Road – Copeland! That is because 2023 marked a pivotal year where Emerson divested its Commercial & Residential Solutions business, believing it would be stronger as a standalone company. So, with the backing of Blackstone private equity, in June of last year, the former Emerson-business returned to its roots as a pureplay HVACR company, taking on its original Copeland name – a name that had been a fixture in the Sidney community from 1937 until 1986 when it was originally acquired by Emerson.

SIDNEY — Choice One Engineering, a civil engineering, landscape architecture, and surveying firm based in Sidney, Ohio, celebrated another year of success in 2023. The company, established in Sidney in 1994 (with a second office in Loveland, Ohio), offers services to public and private clients across western Ohio, eastern Indiana, and northern Kentucky.

SIDNEY — Ferguson Construction booked and built a strong backlog in 2023, driven by their commitment to teamwork and long-standing partnerships.

ANNA — The Anna Engine Plant (AEP) has long been a vital facility in powering Honda and Acura vehicles, producing more than 30 million engines for automobiles around the world.

SIDNEY — Western Ohio Cut Stone completed its 28th year of operation in 2023 as a producer and reseller of architectural grade natural stone products. 2023 remained steady in the wake of strong years in 2020 and 2021.
