TROY — City of Troy Director of Public Service and Safety Patrick Titterington announced on Wednesday the hiring of Mark T. Wendling as Troy’s next assistant director of Public Service and Safety, effective Monday, Jan. 3, 2022.
Wendling brings to Troy over 30 years of local management experience in Kentucky and Ohio. He earned a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts from Northern Kentucky University. Troy Mayor Robin Oda, who assisted in the candidate assessments, stated, “Mark brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the city. I’m confident that he’ll be a great addition to the high-performing team we have in place here. I look forward to working with him to continue to better our great community.”
Wendling will serve not only as the assistant director of Public Service and Safety, directly supervising the Cemetery, Billing & Collections/Income Tax Office, and Management Information Services, but also as the city’s human resources director.
