Dec. 25

DISTURBANCE: A deputy responded to a possible disturbance on the 1400 block of North State Route 48 in Newton Township at 10:51 p.m. No charges were filed.

Dec. 26

ASSIST SQUAD: A deputy responded to the 4200 block of U.S. Route 40 in Bethel Township at 10:35 a.m. in reference to an assist squad involving an overdose with a female not breathing. The female was resuscitated by EMS. A male on scene had an active in county warrant and was arrested and transported to the Miami County Jail without incident.

THEFT: A deputy was dispatched a theft call on the 6600 block of W. State Route 41 in Newberry Township at noon. The case is pending further investigation.

INFORMATION REPORT: A deputy responded to the 9100 block of North State Route 66 in Washington Township at 12:35 p.m. in reference to child abuse or neglect. Upon arrival, several neighbors and people on the roadway stated a child had walked into the roadway. The parents found the child and took him home safely. No one was harmed during the incident. No charges were filed.

DISTURBANCE: A deputy responded to the 3600 block of Farrington Road in Washington Township at 1:35 p.m. in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, one participant was found to be in violation of a Civil Protection Order (CPO). One individual was charged with violating a CPO.

THEFT: There was a report of a theft of tools on the 600 block of East Main Street in Bradford at 3:42 p.m.

ANIMAL PROBLEM: Deputies responded to a disturbance between neighbors who were arguing over loose dogs on the 2700 block of Washington Road in Concord Township at 5:26 p.m.

ACCIDENT: A deputy was dispatched to the intersection of Farrington Road and Experiment Farm Road in reference to a single motor vehicle accident at 7 p.m. After further investigation, one person was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

DISTURBANCE: A deputy responded to the 6300 block of Jay Road in Union Township at 10:09 p.m. in reference to a disturbance. A report was taken. This case is closed.

Dec. 27

AGENCY ASSIST: A deputy assisted Covington Police Department in recovering a stolen firearm on the 1200 block of Pine Street in Concord Township at 1:37 a.m.

ACCIDENT: A non-injury accident was reported in the area of West State Route 185 and State Route 721 in Newberry Township at approximately 7 a.m.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A deputy was dispatched to a criminal damage complaint on the 1400 block of Lytle Road in Concord Township at 7:30 a.m. This case is pending further investigation.

THEFT: A deputy responded to the 3100 block of Gearhart Road in Elizabeth Township at approximately 10 a.m. to a theft complaint.

THEFT: A deputy was dispatched to a call regarding a complaint of theft on the 3900 block of Tipp Elizabeth Road in Elizabeth Township at 10:10 a.m. After investigation, the case is pending.

SEX OFFENSE: A deputy responded to the Miami County Sheriff’s Office on an assist citizen complaint in reference to a potential sex offense. This case is pending further investigation.

HARASSMENT: A deputy responded to Second Street in Laura at 10:30 a.m. on a telecommunications harassment complaint. After investigation, the suspect was warned for telecommunications harassment. This case is closed.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE: A deputy responded to C&C Auto, 9800 S. State Route 202, in reference to the theft of a motor vehicle at 10:45 a.m. A report was taken, the vehicle was entered as stolen, and a BOLO (be on the lookout for) for the vehicle was issued. There are no suspects at this time, and this is a pending investigation.

THEFT: A deputy was dispatched to a complaint of theft on the 4500 block of Peters Road in Monroe Township at 11:23 a.m. After investigation, the case is closed.

INFORMATION REPORT: A deputy responded to the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office and met with a subject who requested to turn over a firearm to the department to be destroyed due to the firearm not firing correctly. The firearm was placed in an evidence locker to be destroyed.

ANIMAL COMPLAINT: A deputy responded to the 900 block of West Evanston Road in Monroe Township in reference to an animal complaint involving a horse at 3:27 p.m. This incident is under investigation for animal neglect.

DISTURBANCE: There was a report of a disturbance on the 7900 block of East State Route 41 in Alcony at 8:44 p.m.

ROBBERY: A deputy responded to the 9400 block of Palmer Road in Bethel Township in reference to a robbery in progress at 11:46 p.m. This case is pending further investigation.
