Dye Mill Road facility reopens March 18

TROY — The city of Troy has contracted with Tree Care Inc., to operate the city-owned Dye Mill Road Compost Facility for 2024. The contractor will reopen the facility on March 18, with the following hours of operation:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.;

• Saturday: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.;

• Wednesday and Sunday: Closed.

The facility will remain open through Nov. 30. It will be closed on Memorial Day on May 27; July 4; Labor Day on Sept. 2; and Thanksgiving on Nov. 28.

The Dye Mill Road Compost Facility is available for use by all city of Troy residents. To use the facility, Troy residents must provide proof of residency.

The facility accepts compost materials including grass, brush, leaves, garden refuse (excluding fruit) and rocks. Concrete cannot be accepted at the Dye Mill Road Facility.
