WEST MILTON — The Covington volleyball team got past Milton-Union 25-20, 15-25, 25-11, 25-13 Wednesday.

For Covington, Taylor Kirker had 27 assists, 14 digs and three aces and Addie Ventura had five aces and seven kills.

Hailey Naff had seven kills and seven digs, Carlie Besecker had seven kills, 18 digs and three aces and Kearsten Wiggins had eight digs.

Jayda McClure had 13 digs, Ramse Vanderhorst had 10 digs and Hollan Koffer added eight digs.

Abigail Poston was match medalist with 39 to lead Tippecanoe.

PIQUA — The Piqua girls golf team picked up a win on the front nine at Echo Hills Wednesday.

Aubrey Carroll was medalist with 44.

Other Piqua scores were Izzy Thoma 49, Jenna Snyder 49, Braylin Shaner 52 and Emery Kuhlman 56.

GREENVILLE — The Troy girls soccer team picked up a road win in MVL action Wednesday.

Skylar Davis, Peyton Hayslett, Aubrey Murphy and Payton Vitangeli all scored goals for the Trojans.

Madison Moore and Alyssa Stanley had assists.

Hailey Noland had two saves and combined with Abbie Fleenor for the shutout in goal.

In singles, Elizabeth Niemi defeated Sammy Russell 6-1, 6-1; Nina Short defeated Shyla Thomson 6-0, 6-0 and Catharine Logan defeated Abby Manning 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles, Casey Rogers and Gwen Turnbull defeated Shayla Hagenbuch and Kaylynn Owens 6-0, 6-1 and Sydney Bennett and Carly West defeated Addie Harrison and Jayda Hansgen 6-0, 6-0.

TIPP CITY — Coming off a 5-0 win over Fairborn Tuesday to stay unbeaten in the MVL, the Tippecanoe girls tennis team faced one of the top teams in D-I in Centerville Wednesday.

The Red Devils gave the Elks a battle before losing.

In singles, Nicki Bauer lost 6-0, 6-0; Mia Tobias lost 6-1, 6-1 and Morgan Collins lost 6-1, 6-1.

In doubles, Riya Patel and Ellie Waibel won 6-4, 6-2 and Kara Snipes and Amelia Staub lost a close match 7-5, 7-5.

In doubles, Sierra Leonard and Nataya Yaqub won 8-1 and Abby Smay and Alexa Fogt won 8-2.

Josie Kleinhenz had eight kills and three blocks and Cema Rajab added five kills.

Julia Kimer dished out 18 assists and Kayla Huber added 17 assists.

Lauren Koesters had 17 digs and Anna Meyer added 11 digs.

TIPP CITY — The Tippecanoe volleyball team cruised to a 25-11, 25-11, 25-14 win Tuesday.

“We controlled the match from the start with very consistent attack from our middles,” Tippecanoe coach Howard Garcia said. “Serve receive was consistent, but we made some errors that are not charactertic of the team. Energy was high and lots of good plays.”

Savannah Clawson had nine kills and 13 digs and Emily Barlage had five kills and five aces.

Courtney Post had six kills, Lexi Luginbuhl had five kills and Faith Siefring had 16 digs.

Jenna Krimm dished out 19 assists and Eli McCormick added 12 assists.

Natalie Hemmert and Sherry Sprowl had five kills each for Piqua.

Abigail Kirk had 11 assists and 11 digs, Elizabeth Copsey had 11 digs and Audrey Applegate served three aces.

COVINGTON — Taylor Kirker increased her school record for aces in a match as the Covington volleyball team handled Northridge 25-4, 25-0, 25-12 in TRC action.

Kirker had 18 aces, 23 assists and seven digs for the Buccs, while Hailey Naff had seven kills and eight aces.

Addie Ventura had nine kills, Carlie Besecker added eight kills and Kearsten Wiggins led the defense with nine digs.

BRANDT — The Lehman Catholic volleyball team handed Bethel is first loss of the season 25-13, 20-25, 28-26, 18-25, 15-8.

For Lehman, Kailee Rank had 19 kills and Marissa Corner had 13 kills, nine aces, 13 digs and seven blocks.

Taylor Geise had four aces and 11 digs and Ashlyn Geise had four blocks.

Jenna Baker dished out 36 assists.

For Bethel, Karlee Plozay had 27 kills, four aces and 11 digs and Layla Moore had six kills and three aces.

Gabi McMahan had 28 assists, Claire Bailey had 20 digs, Addison Boggs had 11 digs and Daisy Horner had four blocks.

WEST MILTON — The Miami East volleyball team outlasted Milton-Union 25-6, 22-25, 19-25, 25-7, 15-7 Tuesday.

Khalia Lawrence had 21 kills and nine digs and Whitni Enis added 10 kills.

Ava Prince had 38 assists, 13 aces and eight digs.

Kamryn Apple had six aces and eight digs and Kylie Gentis and Skyla Kerns had four aces each.

Madison Gustin had one assist and Caley McCarroll had the shutout in goal.
