Letter: Thank you to Clean-Up Day volunteers

To the Editor:

Last Saturday, May 14, was an exciting day for the Southview Neighborhood Association. In conjunction with the Piqua City-wide Clean Up Day, the Association took on the task of cleaning up Mote Park on Gordon Street and Giles Park on 25A.

The activity was a big success due to the support of our membership, the City of Piqua, and the help of several groups and individuals. Special thanks go to the members of the St. John Lutheran Church and Boy Scout Troop 76 of Piqua, and various members of the Piqua community who showed up to pull weeds, pick up trash, trim trees and generally gave Mote and Giles Parks a good clean up.

Thanks to all who helped! You are much appreciated!

— James D. Vetter, President
