To the Editor:

I want to thank all the POWW (Protecting Our Water Ways) volunteers, and the sponsors for completing the 19th annual Spring Clean Sweep of the Piqua Hydraulic Canal.

We collected 6 flower saddles, a tennis shoe, two base balls, fishing tackle, doizens of plastic bags and water bottles, and a live snail and 6” craw daddy.

Total weight was estimated to be 120 pounds (highest in last 7 years). We all can do better!
